Floor Session:

We were able to finish up our work last week, and are prepared to adjourn for the year. However, due to the disputed veto of the grocery tax repeal last year, we are staying in Session another five days in order to ensure that there are no Bills vetoed after we leave "sine die". This means our actual date of closing the 2018 Session will most likely be the 28th of March. It has been a very productive Session with tax reform taking center stage, and a number of smaller issues being proposed, debated, and passed. There was a much more collegiate atmosphere than last year, and most legislators are hopeful that we will be able to maintain this air with many new members in the legislature, as well as a new Governor, next year.

Please take the time to educate yourself on all the candidates running in the various races, and then make time to vote. Educated participation is the only way to stem the various forms of tyranny that arise from complacency.

As in previous Legislative Sessions, all Bills passed and all votes are "YES" unless otherwise noted. aaH and aaS indicate Bills amended in House or Senate.

All Bills can be investigated further on legislature.idaho.gov. Go to "Legislative Sessions" and then you can search by Bill number or topic.
